This job posting is specifically for the Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician position within Hawaii Terminals Inc., a subsidiary of The Pasha Group. If selected, your employment will be with Hawaii Terminals Inc.

**Key Responsibilities:**
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and hydraulic systems, including overhauling hydraulic pumps and valves.
  • Diagnose, repair, and overhaul both diesel and gasoline engines.
  • Diagnose and repair 2 & 4 cycle and battery-powered small engines.
  • Diagnose and repair wet brake systems.
  • Perform welding and cutting as necessary to complete required tasks.

**Minimum Qualifications:**
  • Ability to competently perform the job duties outlined above.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Valid CDL License - Type A required with HazMat endorsement.
  • Must possess a valid TWIC card.
  • 2+ years of experience in heavy machinery maintenance.
  • Experience in diagnosing and repairing wet brake systems.
  • Familiarity with Electric Vehicles.
  • Proficient in ARC, MIG, and gas welding, as well as the use of a cutting torch.
  • Willingness to work shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

**Preferred Qualifications:**
  • ASE Air Brakes and/or Manufacturer Air Brakes training is preferred.
  • Certification in ARC, MIG, and gas welding is preferred.

**Physical Requirements:**
  • Ability to lift/carry objects up to 100 pounds occasionally; up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Capability to work at heights greater than 80 feet above ground.
  • Ability to bend, crouch, crawl, and reach above head.
  • Climb stairs, ladders, and enter/exit vehicles.
  • Perform work while standing and in confined spaces.
  • Turn, move, pull, and push objects using moderate force.
  • Fine manipulation using fingers/tools.
  • Ability to see fine detail and in low light conditions.
  • Walk on uneven surfaces, inclines, and declines.
