Nurse Practitioner Role for Medical-Surgical Expertise

Job Overview: Medical-Surgical RNs are essential to patient care, providing bedside attention, executing individualized assessments, and collaborating with physicians to deliver high-quality care.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality patient care: Medical-Surgical RNs assess patients, develop individualized plans, and execute necessary interventions to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with physicians: RNs assist with examinations, treatments, and prepare equipment as needed.
  • Administer medications and interventions: Medical-Surgical RNs administer prescribed medications, initiate alternative actions when adverse symptomology is displayed, and perform procedures such as changing dressings, inserting catheters, and starting IVs when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • RN licensure in the United States
  • 1+ year of experience in Medical-Surgery nursing
