Wells Enterprises seeks an experienced Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) professional to lead EHS activities for their respective facility. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of EHS Management Systems (MS) and business processes.
About the RoleThis is a key position that requires strong leadership skills to drive accountability and ownership of EHS MS results. The successful candidate will provide coaching and guidance to facility leadership to improve EHS performance.
- The EHS Specialist II will recognize the need for change and advocate for improvements in EHS processes and programs.
- They will respond to emergencies involving hazardous material releases, facility destruction, inclement weather, and property damage incidents.
- The role may include responsibilities such as coaching and/or ownership of Process Safety Management (PSM), Risk Management Planning (RMP), Multisite locations, Mergers and Acquisitions (M & A), Wastewater, and Environmental initiatives.
- Develop and implement EHS plans and procedures to minimize/eliminate incidents.
- Collaborate with facility personnel to promote a culture of safety and responsibility.
- Analyze and report on EHS metrics and performance indicators.
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root cause and recommend corrective actions.
- Communicate EHS policies and procedures to employees and management.
The successful candidate will have:
- A degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in EHS leadership roles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data and develop recommendations.
- A proven track record of improving EHS performance.
Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
