Overview:

The role involves designing and delivering engaging, developmentally suitable learning experiences that foster students' academic growth and language skills.

Reports to the designated Principal.

Minimum Qualifications:
Must possess a valid teaching certificate or be eligible for certification in the relevant area. Prior experience in an educational environment is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop a curriculum that aligns with the diverse needs, interests, and abilities of students.
  2. May instruct in various subjects as assigned.
  3. Create a supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages learning and caters to the developmental stages of students.
  4. Prepare detailed lesson plans and engaging activities tailored for individual students or specific classes.
  5. Guide students towards achieving curriculum objectives; set clear goals for lessons and communicate these effectively.
  6. Utilize a range of instructional methods and resources that accommodate the unique needs of students.
  7. Evaluate student work and maintain precise records of academic performance.
  8. Regularly assess student progress and provide necessary feedback.
  9. Report any observed learning challenges to the appropriate specialists.
  10. Keep accurate and current records as mandated by regulations and district policies.
  11. Support school administration in enforcing policies and maintaining classroom discipline.
  12. Monitor student behavior to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
  13. Assist students requiring additional support.
  14. Oversee the contributions of teaching assistants and volunteers.
  15. Foster positive communication with parents; organize and conduct parent-teacher meetings and educational workshops.
  16. Manage classroom supplies and equipment, submitting requests as needed.
  17. Participate in special programs, projects, or events as necessary; serve as a mentor for student organizations.
  18. Attend staff meetings and contribute to various committees as required.
  19. Engage in professional development and training opportunities.
  20. Coordinate arrangements for substitute teachers when necessary.
  21. Operate various educational technologies and equipment effectively.

Additional Responsibilities:

May provide additional support to students during or after school hours as needed. Maintain a tidy and organized classroom environment.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
