Job Description

At Community Health System, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN) to join our Skilled Nursing unit at Laredo Medical Center. About the Role

As an LPN on our Skilled Nursing unit, you will have the chance to work with a diverse range of patients, including geriatric populations and those requiring rehabilitation after surgery or illness. You will be responsible for administering nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse, participating in the implementation and evaluation of patient care plans, and ensuring the health, comfort, and safety of patients.

This role requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities

Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:

  • A graduate degree from an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • One year of full-time or three years of part-time experience in an acute care setting (preferred).
  • A valid LPN/LVN license from the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners.
  • BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
  • ACLS, PALS, or NRP certification (or obtained within six months of employment) in required specialty.
  • Handle with Care certification (or obtained within six months of employment) in required specialty.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
