Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests, troubleshooting problems, and ensuring accurate and precise results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform laboratory tests and procedures in a timely and accurate manner
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems with laboratory equipment and procedures
  • Ensure quality control and instrument functioning checks are performed regularly
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment according to established procedures
  • Train and orient new laboratory staff and students
  • Demonstrate knowledge of and adherence to hospital safety requirements
Requirements
  • AS degree and minimum of 4 years of Clinical Laboratory experience or Bachelors of Science Degree and a minimum of 2 years of Clinical Laboratory experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant technical experience required
  • Ability to work independently and adhere to deadlines and manage changing volumes
  • Basic knowledge of computer software systems
Preferred Qualifications
  • Nationally recognized certification within 1 year of date of hire
  • ASCP certification preferred
  • Current BLS certification required within 30 days of hire
