Customer Service Liaison

**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly skilled Customer Service Liaison to join our team at the Housing Authority of the Birmingham District. As a key member of our Rental Assistance Program Department, you will provide exceptional customer service to tenants, landlords, visitors, staff, contractors, and the general public.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service to applicants, property owners, and their agents via phone, email, and in-person.
- Answer incoming calls and respond to messages; respond to inquiries regarding program information, admissions process, application status, rent payments, and escalate matters as needed.
- Document communications with tenants, landlords, and applicants for appropriate locations.
- Receive and respond to inquiries and complaints professionally and promptly.
- Correspond and collaborate with staff in the department and throughout the Agency to resolve issues and provide information.
- Maintain positive communications and relations with internal and external partners.
- Release information according to company policies and procedures and ensure the confidentiality of information and records.
- Provide clerical and administrative support to the Housing Choice Voucher team, including recordkeeping, document generation, data tracking, phoning, mailing, and filing.
About You:
- You have a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of one year of experience as a receptionist or customer service representative.
- You possess strong computer skills (e.g., MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and the ability to learn other software programs as required.
- You are able to remain in a stationary position for long periods, move about the office, and attend onsite and offsite meetings.
- You can exchange information in person, in writing, and via telephone and occasionally transport up to 25 pounds.
