About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Radiological Technician to join our team at Ascension St. Vincent's St. Clair. As a Radiological Technician, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and diagnostic services.

Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of radiographic procedures to aid in the diagnostic treatment of illness and injuries.
  • Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately to ensure high-quality images.
  • Implement radiation protection and safety standards to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area, and any other areas in the department.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • One or more of the following certifications required: Cardiographic Tech, Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography, Radiologic Technologist specializing in Sonography, or Medical Sonographer.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
