PURVIS Systems has an immediate opening for an Electrical Engineer to be part of a team to resolve issues with, design updates if needed, and evaluate automated test equipment used for Torpedo testing.

The day-to-day responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Evaluating and debugging complex hardware/firmware test sets to ensure they operate in accordance with requirements and as designed.
  • Evaluating system wiring.
  • Evaluating and designing Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs).
  • Participating in design verification testing of hardware and software against requirements.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues documented as problem reports, recommending solutions.
  • Debugging code and writing scripts in NII Test Stand that test the signal path and loads.
  • Updating and maintaining system schematics, wire list diagrams, and documentation ensuring they are always current and reflect any updates integrated into the system.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical or systems engineering.
  • Ability to review and understand system drawings.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Experience with large magnitude test equipment a plus.
  • Experience using NII LabView and Test Stand a plus.

Candidate must have or be able to obtain a government security clearance to the level of SECRET.
