About the Role:

As a Procurement Specialist, you will be tasked with the planning and execution of supply chain strategies that align with our business objectives. Your primary goals will include achieving a 95% on-time delivery rate to our customers, maintaining a 95% on-time delivery rate from our suppliers, ensuring inventory turns of 18, and upholding a 99% supplier quality performance with zero quality escapes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement lean manufacturing practices, including kanban systems and visual ordering techniques.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives such as kaizen and Value Stream Mapping.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve supply chain issues.
  • Collaborate effectively within a production team, fostering a culture of responsibility and shared success.
  • Utilize strong communication skills to liaise with team members and suppliers.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of three years of experience in supply chain management within a manufacturing environment, including experience with purchasing and planning transactions using an MRP system.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
