MRI Technologist Job Description

Sigma Healthcare is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at our client's healthcare facility in Arlington, WA.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced MRI Technologist to work onsite at our client's healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will have the ability to scan independently and facilitate patient throughput, performing multiple procedures per shift on both pediatric and adult critically ill patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Explaining the MRI process to patients and ensuring they comply with all safety standards.
  • Positioning and possibly sedating patients to capture clear images of the correct area of the body.
  • Removing and replacing IVs and catheters for the MRI process.
  • Maneuvering the MRI equipment and positioning it to capture the correct images.
  • Monitoring patients during scanning and maintaining patient records.
  • Monitoring MRI equipment functions.
  • Ensuring clear images for physicians to provide accurate diagnoses.
  • Recognizing abnormalities and irregularities in images.
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program or MRI accredited program.
  • Cardiac MRI experience highly desirable.
  • Pediatric experience a plus.
  • WA State Radiology Tech License.
  • BLS (AHA) required.
  • ARRT (R) or ARMRIT required, ARRT (MR) Registry preferred.
