Job Summary:

As a Radiology Imaging Specialist at Aequor Technologies, you will be responsible for operating MRI equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients, ensuring the highest image quality and patient safety. This role requires strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members. You will also be responsible for preparing patients for MRI procedures, monitoring and assessing patients during procedures, and maintaining detailed and accurate records of procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate MRI equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients as per physician orders.
  • Prepare patients for MRI procedures, explaining the process and addressing concerns.
  • Monitor and assess patients during MRI procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of procedures, including patient data and imaging results.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret and analyze images.
  • Perform routine maintenance on MRI equipment and troubleshoot any issues.
  • Adhere to radiation safety standards and practices.

Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of MRI imaging procedures, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Proficiency with computers and radiology information systems (RIS) for accurate data entry and image management.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and positioning patients, operating MRI equipment, and standing for extended periods.
  • Certification as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) with a specialization in MRI (ARRT-MR).
  • Active [STATE] Radiology Technologist License in good standing.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiology Tech - MRI or in a similar role.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
  • Experience with EPIC or similar charting systems.
