Position Overview:

Navistar is seeking a dedicated Internal Controls and Compliance Analyst to become a vital part of our Governance, Risk, & Compliance (GRC) team. This team is instrumental in overseeing Internal Controls, Corporate Compliance, Enterprise Risk Management, and Data Privacy initiatives. The selected candidate will report directly to the Internal Controls Manager.

The Internal Controls and Compliance Analyst will play a key role in facilitating the execution of GRC projects and conducting internal control evaluations across our financial and operational processes. This position will also engage in risk assessments, internal control evaluations, and various regulatory and compliance projects aligned with our annual objectives.

This role will operate in a hybrid work environment, requiring three days in the office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in GRC projects aimed at evaluating risks and controls related to significant strategic initiatives and business operations.
  • Contribute to the annual internal control testing framework.
  • Help prepare management reports detailing project outcomes or testing results along with corrective action strategies.
  • Provide expert guidance to internal stakeholders regarding risk and compliance policies and best practices.
  • Support adherence to regulations, policies, and procedures across the organization.
  • Foster strong relationships with various business process and functional departments.
  • Engage in continuous process improvement initiatives within the GRC department.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree.

OR

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 1 year of experience in audit, accounting, or finance.

OR

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in audit, accounting, or finance.

Additional Requirements:

  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without any restrictions.

Preferred Skills:

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, CIA, CISA, CRMA) or advanced degrees are preferred.
  • Professional experience in a GRC or audit-related role.
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical capabilities.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Visio).
