About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shift Lead to join our team at DoorDash. As a Shift Lead, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our commercial kitchen, preparing food orders accurately and efficiently, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, maintaining culinary standards and coaching staff to ensure high-quality food preparation.
  • Manage inventory, track orders, and assist with team scheduling to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
  • Contribute to improving kitchen processes, safety, and cleanliness, and work to improve quality and associated metrics.
  • Be flexible and assist with warehouse duties, including inventory receiving, organizing the work area, and ensuring Dasher pickups go smoothly.

Requirements:

  • 3 years of kitchen lead experience in a high-volume kitchen environment, including fast-casual, QSR, and from-scratch restaurants.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain ServSafe certification and maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Highly organized, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to be on your feet and handle warehouse duties, including lifting up to 40 or 50 pounds (depending on site requirements).

We offer a competitive pay range of $21-$21 USD, flexible shifts, and opportunities for pay increases twice a year based on performance.
