Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse II to join our team at Craven County, NC. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care to our maternity clients, working closely with our medical staff to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care to maternity clients, including updating screening questions, preparing patients for providers, and addressing any problems that may arise.
  • Administer injections, perform catheterizations as ordered, and record lab work/ultrasound results in our electronic medical record system.
  • Communicate and coordinate with our Social Worker Case Manager and Nutritionist to ensure patient needs are met.
  • Assist with disaster response efforts, providing healthcare services at Red Cross Shelters as needed.
Requirements
  • Graduation from a state-accredited program of practical nurse education and one year of practical nurse experience, including advanced or in-service training in the area to which assigned.
  • Licensure to practice as a practical nurse in North Carolina by the NC Board of Nursing.
  • Maternity experience preferred.
