We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC Specialist to join our team at Fluor. As a key member of our Global Government Services business line, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing complex heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and Maintain HVAC Systems: Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems, including complex systems with redundant/back-up components.
  • Perform Preventive Maintenance: Analyze, plan, and perform preventive maintenance of various HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Plan Shutdowns and Repairs: Plan shutdowns for maintenance and repair of pumps, including chill water, heating water, and condensation pumps.
  • Install Conduit and Wiring: Install conduit, wiring, hard drawn copper tubing, and possibly ductwork to support HVAC system installation and maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot and Repair: Troubleshoot, repair, and make modifications to HVAC systems to ensure they are functioning properly.
  • Adhere to Regulations: Adhere to all city, state, and federal regulatory statues related to HVAC system installation and maintenance.
  • Maintain Records: Maintain maintenance records as required by regulations provided by customers.
  • Learn and Evaluate Building Control Systems: Learn and evaluate building control systems to analyze proper HVAC system operation and efficiency.
  • Order and Maintain Parts: Order and maintain parts needed to repair and maintain HVAC equipment.
  • Work in Live Facilities: Experience working in live facilities and following appropriate safe work practices, including lock-out tag-out.
  • Manage Vendor Relationships: Manage relationships with all major vendor accounts.
  • Review Drawings: Review drawings for material takeoffs.
  • Initiate and Track Submittals: Initiate and track submittals.
  • Research and Provide Guidance: Research and provide guidance/options on duct work, split units, etc.
  • Maintain Quality of Service: Maintain a high quality of service at all times.
  • Troubleshoot and Problem Solve: Strong trouble-shooting and problem solving skills.
  • Maintain and Safeguard Assets: Properly maintain and safeguard assets.
  • Work Well on a Team: Able to work well on a team, notably building Operations teams to assist/review PMs performed and work alongside other trades (i.e. electrical) on various tasks.
  • Other Duties: Other duties as assigned.
