Heritage Companies is seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team at El Monte Sagrado in Taos, NM. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities- Work under the direction of our Executive Chef or Sous Chef to prepare menu items to the highest standards.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude, ensuring excellent customer service and teamwork.
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations, as well as safety standards, at all times.
- Prepare food for service, including chopping vegetables, butchering meat, and preparing sauces.
- Cook menu items in collaboration with other kitchen team members, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
- Full-time employees receive medical, dental, vision, life, short-term disability, accident, critical illness, and 401(k) benefits.
- Part-time employees receive dental, vision, and 401(k) benefits.
- Current New Mexico Food Handler Certification is required.
- Ability to work on your feet in a humid kitchen environment for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift, push, reach for, and carry 30+ pounds frequently.
- Excellent verbal communication and multitasking skills are essential.
- 6 months to 1 year of experience in high-volume or fine dining cooking is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent experience/training is required.
