Job Title: Audiologist

Colorado Early Colleges is seeking a highly skilled Audiologist to join our team. As an Audiologist, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive hearing evaluations, screenings, and auditory processing assessments for students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct hearing evaluations, screenings, and auditory processing assessments for students.
  • Diagnose hearing and balance disorders, and develop individualized treatment plans, including recommendations for hearing aids, cochlear implants, or other assistive listening devices.
  • Work closely with teachers, speech-language pathologists, special education staff, and parents to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with hearing impairments.
  • Educate students, staff, and parents on hearing conservation practices and the prevention of hearing loss.
  • Provide training and support to school staff on the use of hearing aids, FM systems, and other assistive technologies in the classroom.
  • Monitor the progress of students with hearing impairments, adjusting treatment plans as needed and conducting regular follow-up assessments.
  • Maintain accurate records of assessments, treatment plans, and progress reports, ensuring compliance with school district policies and relevant state and federal regulations.
  • Provide support during school emergencies where hearing issues might pose a risk, ensuring clear communication for all students.
  • Attend IEPs and provide consultations as directed by the Director of Exceptional Student Services.
