About the Role

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is a key member of the FactoryFix team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, strong organizational skills, and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the safety and efficiency of our facilities, including cleaning, repairs, and equipment maintenance.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to identify and prioritize maintenance needs, and develop effective solutions to address them.
  • Operate various motorized equipment, including forklifts and utility vehicles, to support maintenance and repair activities.
  • Collaborate with external vendors to manage special projects, including construction, plumbing, and electrical work.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans to minimize downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and develop corrective actions to prevent equipment failure.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal stakeholders, responding promptly to maintenance requests and ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, applying new knowledge and skills to improve maintenance operations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or degree preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance operations, with a focus on technical skills and problem-solving.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate corporate vehicles.
  • Proficiency in creating preventive maintenance plans, electrical troubleshooting, and mechanical troubleshooting.
