Vaco is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support our financial operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring tax compliance, preparing financial reports, and reconciling transactions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review financial reports and statements for audit, revenue, and fixed assets reconciliation.
  • Ensure tax compliance with tax agencies by preparing and filing federal and state tax returns, sales tax returns, property, and tangible returns.
  • Reconcile transactions, including revenue and cost recognition, customer rebates, royalties, and freight claims.
  • Administer the fixed asset module, including recording changes, reconciling to the general ledger, and coordinating physical inventory.
  • Support monthly financial closes, including journal entries, balance-sheet account reconciliations, accruals, and chart of accounts maintenance.
  • Conduct mid-level general-ledger account reconciliations, verify accuracy of data, and identify and correct incorrectly recorded transactions.
  • Document and update accounting and policy manuals.
  • Publish accounting calendars and coordinate monthly closing and annual audit activities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience and training.
  • Advanced level in Excel and MS Office.
  • SAP or integrated system experience.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English, both written and verbal.
