Job Overview

Command Holdings is seeking a skilled Defense Travel Administrator to enhance support for the Office of Military Commissions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and update user profiles within the Defense Travel System (DTS).
  • Draft, review, and modify travel authorizations as necessary.
  • Prepare travel voucher forms for signatures from travelers.
  • Generate cross-organizational letters to facilitate the use of OMC line of accounting for travelers.
  • Handle the detachment and reception of DTS profiles for personnel transitioning in and out of commands.
  • Ensure timely submission and processing of travel documents following official travel.

Work Environment:

  • Typical office setting with moderate noise levels, including computers, phones, and printers.
  • Capability to remain seated at a computer for extended durations.

Physical Requirements:

  • While performing job duties, the employee must be able to sit, stand, speak, and hear.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate a computer is required.
  • Accommodations may be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Travel Requirements:

  • Minimal travel expected (0-10%).

Qualifications:

Basic Requirements:

  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • Familiarity with Federal Travel Regulations.
  • Proficient in the Defense Travel System (DTS).
  • 2-4 years of relevant government experience.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to utilize or learn SharePoint.
  • Capable of working independently or collaboratively.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Professional proficiency in English is essential.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • One year of experience in travel administration.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the Defense Travel System (DTS).
  • Proximity to McLean, VA is preferred.
