Customer Service Representative Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our team at CJ Logistics America. As a key member of our Welcome Center or Customer Service Office, you will be the primary point of contact for all internal and external customer interfacing communication.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date schedules for inbound and outbound shipments
  • Process and prepare orders for distribution to forklift operators, ensuring error-free paperwork
  • Coordinate with customers on scheduling issues and communicate effectively
  • Verify driver information and sign them in and out of the facility
  • Assign dock doors to inbound and outbound loads, ensuring door accuracy and yard report for trailer inventory
  • Process Bills of Lading and associated shipping and receiving documents
  • Reconcile inbounds with packing slips and coordinate drop lot activity
  • Work closely with shift management and leads to achieve shift goals
  • Report errors and/or issues to leadership to ensure accuracy
  • Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge
  • Perform all duties in a safe and timely manner
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Previous experience with AS400 and/or warehouse management systems (WMS) preferred
  • Basic math and reading skills necessary
  • Detailed-oriented with ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to follow oral and/or written instructions
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with internal and external customers
