About the Role

Oceaneering is a leading provider of engineered services and products to the offshore energy industry, and we're seeking a highly skilled Senior Propulsion Systems Engineer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to NASA JSC EP4 Branch on propulsion system certification and design.
  • Support national and international customers for Gateway and International Space, visiting vehicles, and Commercial Crew customers.
  • Contribute to the design and development of major elements of ground test and space flight systems required to demonstrate the utilization of propulsion and fluid systems.
  • Write technical and progress reports covering assigned tasks.
  • Support the resolution of unique or novel problems related to Propulsion Subsystems.
  • Participate in flight Anomaly Resolution review and In-Flight Investigation review.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a closely related field and ten (10) years of related experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of spacecraft propulsion experience with a focus on mechanical aspects.
  • Experience in the design, assembly, testing, certification, and operation of space propulsion systems and components.
  • Experience coordinating space propulsion systems requirements verification and validation between multiple organizations.
  • Basic knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with JSC organizations, processes, and procedures.
  • Familiarity with the NASA JSC Engineering Life Cycle process.
