About the Position

This position is located at the Pikes Peak Lodge on Peterson Space Base and requires working irregular schedules, including weekends, holidays, and all shifts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of simple, manual tasks involving the use of simple hand tools and equipment.
  • Lift and carry light-to-medium weight packages, materials, and tools.
  • Open and unpack cardboard cartons by hand and remove contents; lift and carry light-to-medium weight packages, materials, tools, furniture, debris, etc., and place them where directed.
  • Use hand trucks and/or dollies to move bulky but relatively light loads (e.g., boxes of copier paper or other office supplies).
  • Pick up trash and paper from grounds and working areas.
  • Cut grass with a push lawn mower (manual); rake leaves; spread mulch; pull weeds; trim and water grass; spray pre-mixed weed and/or insect control solutions; spread abrasives and/or chemicals on icy surfaces; shovel snow.
  • Wash motor vehicles; and wipe dirt or grease from hand tools.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
  • This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and one every three years thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
  • This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.
  • This position requires the incumbent to complete a drug test.
  • This position requires a driver's license.
