We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at the Good Samaritan Society. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality food to our patients, residents, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook a variety of meals, including baked goods, entrees, and desserts, following standardized recipes and food safety guidelines.
- Operate kitchen equipment, such as mixers, slicers, kettles, and ovens, to prepare and cook food.
- Ensure that all food is prepared and served in a clean and sanitary environment, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Work effectively with our culinary team to ensure that meals are prepared and served on time and to a high standard.
- Maintain accurate records of food preparation, storage, and disposal, as well as inventory levels and menu planning.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of six months of applicable experience in a kitchen or food service environment.
- Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions.
- Basic math skills and ability to accurately measure ingredients.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
