High-Precision Machining Specialist

At LaborOne Staffing, we're seeking a highly skilled High-Precision Machining Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for operating Wire EDM machines to produce precision parts with extremely close tolerance dimensions and specifications.
About the RoleThis is a fantastic opportunity for experienced machinists who want to work on cutting-edge technology and push the boundaries of precision machining. If you have a strong background in setting up and operating Wire EDM machines, excellent problem-solving skills, and a desire to continuously learn and develop technical skills, this role is perfect for you.
We estimate the salary for this position to be around $$65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities- Produce precision parts using Wire EDM machines to exact specifications, ensuring tight tolerances and high accuracy.
- Analyze blueprints and engineering drawings to determine part dimensions, cut configurations, and tool requirements.
- Determine the correct cutting tools and fixtures to use for each project, taking into account the type and size of metal stock.
- Verify programming accuracy by observing the machining process and making adjustments as needed.
- Conduct thorough inspections of finished parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste, increase throughput, and enhance overall efficiency, collaborating with our Manufacturing Engineer to implement changes.
- Train machine operators on new procedures and best practices, ensuring smooth production and quality control.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in setting up and operating Wire EDM machines.
- Ability to read and interpret complex technical documents, including routers and engineering drawings.
- A passion for continuous learning and professional development, with a desire to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and techniques.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, bending, and lifting (up to 45lbs).
- Ability to work at heights using fall protection equipment and withstand exposure to loud noise, fumes, and varying temperatures.
