High-Precision Machinist Needed for Wire EDM Equipment

About the JobWe're seeking a highly skilled Machinist with 3-5 years of experience in setting up and operating Wire EDM machines. Your primary responsibility will be to produce parts that meet extremely close tolerance dimensions, alignments, and specifications. You'll work closely with our Manufacturing Engineer to load new programs and set up machinery for short-run orders.
Key Responsibilities:- Produce parts according to specification and verify their accuracy using precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges
- Analyze blueprints and engineering drawings to determine part dimensions and cutting configurations
- Determine the type and size of cutting tools based on metal stock and machine fixture
- Verify programming accuracy by observing machining of first parts
- Continuously look for ways to improve processes, reduce waste, increase throughput, and enhance efficiency
- Work with Manufacturing Engineer to set up machinery and produce highly precise parts
- Train machine operators to produce and measure production, where necessary
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in setting up and operating Wire EDM machines
- Ability to read and interpret complex routers and other required documents
- A strong desire to continually learn and develop technical skills
- Physical requirements: must be able to lift up to 45lbs, bend, stoop, kneel, and stand for prolonged periods, work at heights using fall protection equipment, and be subject to environmental conditions
