We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Stericycle. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on various equipment and machinery throughout the plant.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic evaluations on equipment and make repairs as needed, ensuring that repairs are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Conduct preventive, corrective, and scheduled maintenance on a daily basis on a variety of machinery, including fire tube boilers, steam delivery systems, water treatment equipment, and pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Perform light electrical maintenance on all plant equipment, including 480V/240V/120V/24V power systems, and troubleshoot PLC and light robotics systems.
- Document results through completed work orders based on schedule and priority or as required.
- Perform other related duties as required or requested.
- Education equivalent to an Associate's Degree from a two-year college or technical school, or the equivalent in related work experience.
- Three or more years of related experience and/or training, demonstrating the ability to identify and perform repairs that are needed and to assure scheduled production runs.
- Experience with the use of forklifts, man-lifts, and various rigging equipment in the performance of maintenance activities.
- Boiler, welding, or electrical certification or license is helpful.
- Experience with general air pneumatics, including air compressor operation and maintenance, regulator replacement, solenoid valve replacement, and tubing installation.
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems and ability to read hydraulic flow diagrams.
- Ability to weld stainless steel or higher alloys and operate a TIG welder.
