Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate in vivo experiments in-house and externally to drive research and development.
  • Leverage organizational and communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues in biology and medicinal chemistry, ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Represent pharmacology on multiple project core teams, providing expert guidance and support.
  • Analyze and present data to project teams and department meetings, driving informed decision-making.
  • Maintain high-quality, detailed experimental records within the electronic laboratory notebook (ELN).
  • Design and execute PK/PD/efficacy studies to inform product development and regulatory submissions.

Professional Experience/Qualifications

  • PhD. in pharmacology, biology, or a related field, or Master's Degree with relevant experience.
  • Must have experience within the ophthalmology space, with a strong understanding of the latest research and trends.
  • Experienced with cell culture and molecular biology techniques, including western blotting, qPCR, and other plate-based assays and imaging techniques.
  • Skilled in animal handling, compound formulation, dosing (PO/IV/SC/IP), basic surgery, and necropsy techniques.
  • Outstanding organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to contribute to teams working on challenging technical and scientific problems, with a strong record of achievement and publications.
