Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to join our in vivo pharmacology team with a focus on oncology. The selected candidate will be responsible for evaluating novel ADC based oncology therapeutics in pre-clinical models. Hands-on experience and knowledge of mouse oncology models and cancer biology are required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute in vivo pharmacology experiments, including efficacy CDX models and PK/PD studies.
- Perform cell culture, tumor inoculation, therapeutic dosing, tumor measurements, and collect tissues from rodent in vivo studies.
- Contribute to pre-clinical model development, optimization, and characterization.
- Adhere to proper animal handling and ethical standards, ensuring all procedures are performed according to established guidelines.
- Interface with cross-functional project team members and participate in project team meetings and cross-departmental team meetings.
Requirements:
- BS or MS in Biology, Pharmacology, or a related discipline.
- >4 years of hands-on in vivo model research experience in an industry setting.
- Strong work ethic and enthusiasm for animal and laboratory work.
- Expertise with mouse models of human cancer.
- Proficiency with various mouse handling techniques, including dosing, tumor inoculation/measurements, and tissue collection.
- Experience with sterile tissue culture and molecular and basic cellular biology techniques.
- Computer literacy, especially proficiency with GraphPad Prism, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Perform timely data verification and ensure accuracy for laboratory notebooks, protocols, and reports.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently on day-to-day responsibilities and research goals.
- Must be detail-oriented, punctual, reliable, and available on weekends when necessary.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change.
