Key Responsibilities:

As an integral member of the Culinary Team, the AM Banquet Cook will be tasked with:

  • Executing and completing the daily preparation list for all banquet functions and the Banfi buffet.
  • Preparing proteins, chopping vegetables, and verifying inventory against the prep list.
  • Cooking menu items according to standardized recipes.
  • Delivering items with efficiency and precision to meet event requirements.
  • Monitoring food temperatures and documenting them as necessary.
  • Providing guidance and training to student cooks.
  • Collaborating with front-of-house staff to ensure guests receive a top-quality experience.
  • Assisting other departments, such as pastry and the Banfi line, as needed.
  • Working breakfast and lunch shifts on the line when required (Pantry or Sauté/Grill).
  • Maintaining productivity and effective time management during slower periods.
  • Cleaning the kitchen and properly storing food after each service period.
  • Completing prep lists and closing the shift in accordance with operational standards.
  • Coordinating with Sous Chefs to ensure family meals are prepared and maintained throughout the shift.
  • Exhibiting a positive and professional demeanor with colleagues and customers.
  • Reporting directly to the Sous Chef/Manager.

As a 4-diamond hotel, our objective is to deliver the highest quality experience for our guests.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-3 years of culinary experience in a restaurant, hotel, or resort setting.
  • Proficient understanding of cooking techniques and knife skills.
  • Ability to perform tasks with precision, speed, and attention to detail.
  • Capability to read and follow cooking instructions accurately.
  • Ability to remain composed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Organizational skills and self-motivation are essential.
  • Physical capability to stand, bend, stretch, and lift heavy items.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A degree in Culinary Arts from an accredited institution.
