Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)

  • Description: Variable shifts, 4 shifts per week, 10 hours per shift
  • Days Off: Varied, Monday through Friday
  • On-Call: Required; call shifts are overnight (Monday-Thursday), weekends (Friday evening through Monday morning), and holidays. Call shifts are rotated among team members.
Location: Ithaca, NY Job Description:
  • The Registered Nurse in the Endoscopy Unit will provide care to patients undergoing various endoscopic procedures. The role includes circulating, teching, and providing pre- and post-op care to a wide variety of patients with different levels of acuity and comorbidities. You will administer Moderate Sedation and Monitored Anesthesia Care (MAC), with an emphasis on Moderate Sedation. IV skills, assessment skills, strong critical thinking, and high levels of compassion are essential for success in this fast-paced and dynamic team.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide moderate sedation and monitored anesthesia care to patients.
  • Circulate, assist with technical procedures, and provide pre- and post-op care for endoscopy patients.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality care.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation that includes overnights, weekends, and holidays.
Technologies Needed:
  • ERBE technology experience
Certifications Required:
  • New York RN License
Experience Requirements:
  • Years of Experience: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, including experience in Endoscopy with moderate sedation and MAC.
