Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain overall sanitation of the restaurant, including the dining area, kitchen, and restrooms.
  • Keep dishes properly cleaned and stocked, adhering to company standards and policies.
  • Complete deep cleaning duties, such as walls, floors, walk-in cooler/freezer, and outside area.
  • Bus tables as needed, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for guests.
  • Inform management immediately of any safety hazards, guest complaints, or any other issues that may affect guest satisfaction.
  • Complete all daily cleaning tasks, proper chemical handling/dilution, and other duties in a safe and timely manner.
  • Adhere to company standards and policies, including dish separation and hourly restroom/parking lot checks.
  • Keep landscaping and parking lot clean, maintaining a positive image for Denny's.
  • Be courteous and helpful to fellow employees and guests, providing exceptional customer service.

Physical Requirements:

  • Extensive standing during peak hours, requiring stamina and endurance.
  • Reaching heights of approximately 5 feet and depths of 2 to 3 feet, necessitating flexibility and mobility.
  • High level of mobility/flexibility, enabling efficient movement throughout the restaurant.
  • Bending, reaching, walking, and lifting up to 20lbs, requiring physical strength and agility.
  • Must work well with others, collaborating effectively as part of a team.

Other Requirements:

  • Job requires standing for extended periods, a lot of bending, kneeling, stooping, reaching, wiping, and lifting during peak hours.
  • May work in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold, necessitating adaptability and resilience.
  • Must have sufficient mobility to move and/or operate in a work area, ensuring safety and efficiency.
  • Must practice safe work habits, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to observe wares on equipment, facility, and outside area to ensure safety, maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Present a professional image at all times, representing Denny's positively.
  • Must complete all video training, anti-discrimination and anti-harassment training, and comply with Denny's nondiscrimination policies.
