Position Summary: We are seeking a full-time, experienced Registered Nurse for Preoperative and Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) responsibilities. This role is essential in delivering safe, effective, and quality care centered around patient and family needs within the perianesthesia and perioperative environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and monitor patients' preoperative and postoperative conditions in accordance with established protocols.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each patient's needs.
  • Manage patient recovery from various anesthesia types, ensuring effective communication of their status throughout the care continuum.
  • Perform critical interventions to maintain the stability of patients' vital systems, including respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological functions.
  • Engage patients and their support persons in decisions regarding their care and rehabilitation.
  • Document all nursing care accurately and comprehensively.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and performance evaluations.
  • Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to foster collaboration with healthcare team members.
  • Uphold patient advocacy and confidentiality standards in compliance with healthcare regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) or Emergency Room (ER) settings.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings.
  • Exposure to various clinical environments and conditions.
