Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant

Job Summary:
Actalent is seeking a highly skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Escort patients to exam rooms, utilize EMR to assign rooms, and maintain a professional attitude and attire.
  • Take patient history, chief complaints, and document in EMR, ensuring accurate and timely data entry.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to infection control policies and procedures.
  • Complete patient intake, including medical and surgical history, chief complaint, smoking status, depression screening, allergy information, and social history, documenting all data in EMR.
  • Obtain vitals, including temperature, pulse, blood pressure, respiration rate, pulse oximetry, height, and weight, following established protocols.
  • Instruct and assist patients in removing shoes for accurate weight measurement and inspection of feet, especially for diabetic patients.
  • Assist providers during exams and procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to HIPAA guidelines and EMR protocols.
  • Participate in staff development and educational programs, staying current with industry developments and best practices.
  • Maintain current CPR certification and adhere to established infection control policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited medical assistant/medical technologist program.
  • Current National Certification as Medical Assistant.
  • Basic Life Support for providers through the American Heart Association.
  • Professional attitude and attire, good human relations skills, respectful and caring attitude, ability to accept constructive criticism, and effective communication skills.

Work Environment:

This is a fully on-site position in Neptune, New Jersey, with a schedule of Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with the possibility of floating to two locations.
