Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Jockey Driver to join our team at Perdue Farms. As a Jockey Driver, you will be responsible for positioning trailers and pulling trailers from the offal room. This is a critical role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Position trailers in designated areas on the yard
  • Pull trailers from the offal room
  • Perform daily pre-trip inspections on the jockey tractor
  • Clean and refuel the jockey tractor
  • Check fluid levels (oil, antifreeze, transmission fluid)
  • Take the jockey tractor to the garage when not functioning properly
  • Fuel all trailers or the fueling truck before the end of the shift
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 6 months of experience in a similar role in the last 3 years
  • CDL license preferred but not required
  • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours
  • Ability to work in all 4 season weather environments
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
Work Environment
