Job Summary:

Gpac is seeking a skilled Structural Steel Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for estimating the cost of steel erection projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review construction documents, including plans and specifications, to estimate material and labor costs.
  • Develop and maintain accurate estimates and bid proposals for steel erection projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and engineers to ensure accurate estimates and project timelines.
  • Analyze and evaluate offers from vendors and suppliers to ensure the best value for our clients.
  • Prepare and present estimates to clients in a clear and concise manner.
  • Recommend cost-reduction options for the company and assist the sales team in final project preparation transactions.
  • Maintain thorough records of all project documentation, including estimates, sales receipts, and project completion documentation.

Requirements:

  • Proficient with design drawings, architectural & structural drawings, & project specs.
  • Strong analytic abilities and proficient in mathematical skills.
  • Working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets, Microsoft Word, & QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise Solutions.
  • Understanding of construction documents, change orders, & requests for information (RFI's).
