Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our team at Star Furniture. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for maintaining the appearance of our store, including cleanliness and merchandise placement. You will also be assisting customers with their purchases and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of all areas of the store and parking lot.
  • Assist customers with their purchases and provide excellent customer service.
  • Place, move, and arrange incoming merchandise in the showroom under the direction of the Visual Merchandiser or other members of the management team.
  • Pull outgoing merchandise from the showroom under the direction of the Visual Merchandiser or other members of the management team.
  • Assist in loading and unloading trucks in the receiving area.
  • Unpack merchandise and inspect for damage; notify management of any damages.
  • Assist in attaching price tags to merchandise as directed.
  • Assist customers with wrapping and loading of "take with" purchases.

Requirements:

  • Capable of lifting 100 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Knowledgeable in basic lifting techniques for heavy objects.
  • Ability to communicate and write in English is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • 1 year of experience in general maintenance or warehouse-related position.

Work Environment:

This position operates in a showroom/retail floor environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, tablets, and other office equipment.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and/or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.

Must be able to lift 100 pounds maximum on occasion and frequently lift objects weighing 50 pounds.
