About the Position

Bunker Hill Community College is seeking qualified adjunct faculty members to teach computer science courses for the Fall 2024 semester. The Computer Science department provides students with the skills they need to obtain entry-level positions in computer science and/or programming. Courses offered also prepare students in Computer Science and Engineering fields for transfer to four-year colleges and universities.

Responsibilities
  • Teach computer science courses, including Advanced Python Programming, SQL Programming, C++ Programming, JAVA Programming, Database Programming, and OOPL for Programmers.
  • Develop and implement course materials, assessments, and evaluations.
  • Provide academic advising and support to students.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree or higher in Computer Science or a closely related STEM field.
  • Experience teaching computer science at the college level, with community college teaching preferred.
  • Proven ability to work with diverse faculty, staff, and student populations.
