Pharmacist - Long Term Care Specialist

SpecialtyRx, a leading Long-Term Care pharmacy, is seeking a skilled Pharmacist to join our team in East Rochester, NY.
Job SummaryWe are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacist to provide pharmaceutical services to our long-term care facilities and assisted living communities. As a Pharmacist with SpecialtyRx, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our patients and their families.
Responsibilities- Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness, potential interactions, and proper administration.
- Ensure accurate dispensing and labeling of medications.
- Make recommendations for therapy changes to physicians and facility staff as needed.
- Maintain accurate customer databases, including medical history and clinical data.
- Investigate and resolve medication-related queries.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare team members.
- Supervise the preparation of medications and maintain proper security conditions.
- Perform on-call duties as required.
- Licensed pharmacist in the State of New York.
- Long-term care experience preferred.
- Previous experience in hospital and retail pharmacy or other medical fields.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Computer skills and knowledge of framework/ECM software a plus.
