Position of IT Systems Administrator

The IT Systems Administrator plays a crucial role in overseeing and maintaining information technology systems, ensuring alignment with client requirements, and adapting to the latest technological trends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation and setup of various operating systems including Redhat, SLES, Debian, HP-UX, AIX, Solaris, and Windows.
  • Configuration and management of VMware virtual environments (vCenter, ESXi), Hyper V, and associated virtual machines.
  • Physical server configuration (HPE, Oracle, Bull, Dell, etc.).
  • Management of Storage Area Networks (SAN) including SAN Switches and storage arrays.
  • Installation and configuration of software solutions (Samba, NFS, FTP, Apache) and backup systems (Veeam, Net Backup).
  • Development of automation scripts (Shell, etc.).
  • Regular updates of operating systems and firmware.
  • Creation of technical documentation related to system administration.
  • Preparation of activity reports during incidents.
  • Participation in project discussions and meetings.
  • Ongoing technological monitoring to foresee system advancements.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of system environments including operating systems, storage solutions, and virtualization technologies.
  • Educational background: Bachelor’s to Master’s degree in Computer Science.
  • Fluent in French and proficient in technical English.
  • Strong team collaboration skills.

Position Overview:

  • Permanent employment with managerial responsibilities.
  • Initial probation period of 3 months (renewable).
  • Comprehensive benefits package including family health coverage, retirement plans, travel allowances, and professional phone subscriptions.
  • On-call responsibilities and compensated overtime included.
  • No travel requirements for this position.
  • Flexible working hours with the option for 2 days of remote work each week.
