Job Description

Henry Rehab and Nursing is a skilled nursing facility seeking an experienced Admissions Coordinator to fill a full-time position. As the Admissions Coordinator, you will act as a liaison to the nursing unit to help ensure a smooth transition with the admissions process for all residents.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the admissions process efficiently to ensure a positive experience for residents, families, and supporting staff.
  • Respond to all inquiries regarding potential residents of the facility in a sensitive, courteous, and competent manner.
  • Obtain residents' insurance information, when possible, at the time a referral is called in.
  • Meet with the resident and their families to assure all necessary forms are completed at the time of admission.
  • Maintain admission guidelines by writing, updating, and recommending changes to admission criteria, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist with patient queries and admissions procedures.
  • Organize and input information to databases.
  • Handle phone calls and emails from prospective patients.

Requirements:

  • Clinical experience in a skilled nursing facility setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with post-acute care, rehabilitation hospitals, sub-acute rehabilitation facilities is preferred.
  • This is a direct hire position; we are not an agency.
