Speech-Language Pathologist Position at Ashford Elementary School

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at Ashford Elementary School. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing speech and language services to students, evaluating students for speech-language services, and developing and implementing individualized therapy plans.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct language, speech, and hearing screenings in the schools, as directed.
- Evaluate students for speech-language services through the use of standardized tests.
- Select children with clinical communicative disorders for enrollment in therapy.
- Consult with principals and teachers regarding scheduling student therapy.
- Coordinate the Language, Speech, and Hearing Services Program with other school programs.
- Prescribe and implement speech-language therapy for designated students.
- Provide individual and/or group therapy for children with language, speech, or hearing disorders.
- Participate in IEP development, implementation, and meetings.
- Provide information to teachers about student therapy progress.
- Provide consultative services to regular or special classroom teachers, curriculum specialists, and parents.
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Possess and maintain proper certificate as required by the Alabama State Department of Education.
- Meet background clearance requirements as specified by Alabama statutes and State Board of Education regulations.
The Speech-Language Pathologist will work in a fast-paced, high-intensive work environment and will be required to maintain confidentiality regarding school/workplace matters in accordance with state and federal laws.
Salary and BenefitsSalary and benefits will be paid consistent with the system's approved compensation plan.
