Power Electronics Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Power Electronics Engineer to join our R&D team in Modena, Italy. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the development of next-generation power converters, including analyzing project specifications, selecting power conversion topologies, and designing control loops.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze project specifications and select suitable power conversion topologies
  • Perform hardware simulations and design control loops
  • Develop schematic and BOM designs
  • Provide guidance to colleagues on PCB layout design
  • Develop control firmware and debug prototypes
  • Identify testing tools and create procedures
  • Ensure compliance with EMC and safety regulations
  • Perform cost optimization
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
  • Native level of Italian and good English (B1 or higher)
  • Experience with Altium and LTspice
  • Knowledge of power electronics, AC/DC, DC/DC, GaN, Si devices
  • Programming skills in C (STM8, STM32, dsPIC)
  • FPGA experience (VHDL)
