We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pastry Chef to lead our pastry kitchen team at The Grand Marlin Restaurant Group. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for creating exceptional desserts and baked goods that exceed our guests' expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Pastry Kitchen Management: Oversee the daily operations of the pastry kitchen, ensuring efficient production and high-quality products.
- Dessert and Baked Goods Creation: Develop and execute new dessert and baked goods recipes, using only the freshest ingredients and adhering to our company's quality standards.
- Team Training and Development: Educate and train all team members on food safety, sanitation, and quality control procedures, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks on pastry products to ensure they meet our company's standards.
- Menu Development: Collaborate with our culinary team to develop new seasonal recipes and menu items that showcase our creativity and expertise.
- Guest Satisfaction: Ensure that all pastry products meet our guests' expectations, and make adjustments as needed to maintain high levels of satisfaction.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, ensuring that we have the necessary supplies to meet demand while minimizing waste.
- Education and Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in a pastry kitchen, including supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certifications: ServeSafe or Food Handlers certification, or willingness to obtain.
- Skills and Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of food service regulations, excellent organizational and time management skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for 8+ hours per shift in an environment with extreme temperatures.
