Job Title: Substitute Nurse

We are seeking a Substitute Nurse to join our team at The Greater Cincinnati School Application Consortium. As a Substitute Nurse, you will provide essential support to students with disabilities, enabling them to participate fully in the educational program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal assistance to students with disabilities, including assistance with daily living activities, behavior management, and instructional support.
  • Work effectively with minimal supervision, performing tasks efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Assist students with mobility needs, help them use assistive and/or augmentative devices, and position them to take full advantage of each learning environment.
  • Administer student medications when a school nurse is not available, monitor ill students until a parent/guardian arrives, and respond to student requests for assistance.
  • Exemplify professionalism, foster goodwill, and contribute to an effective and positive work/learning environment.
Requirements:
  • Valid state department of education license/permit as determined at the time of appointment.
  • LPN or RN is required.
  • Meets all mandated state/federal criteria, including approved degree, completion of requisite higher education credit hours/courses, or acceptable score on an authorized professional standards test.
  • Behavioral management skills substantiated by training/work experience.
  • Complies with drug-free workplace rules, board policies, and administrative guidelines/procedures.
