About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Geospatial Data Engineer to join our team in Washington D.C. As a key member of our data engineering team, you will design and develop efficient data pipelines to extract insights from large and complex datasets.

The ideal candidate will have strong geospatial knowledge and experience with Python libraries such as Rasterio/GDAL, Geopandas, Dask/Joblib, ArcGIS, and QGIS. You will work closely with clients to increase organizational efficiency and provide knowledge of geospatial data engineering/software development.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop efficient data pipelines to ETL, analyze, and model geospatial data
  • Work closely with clients to provide knowledge of geospatial data engineering/software development
  • Utilize Python and relevant libraries for spatial analytics
  • Scripting in python to automate geospatial workflow, connecting to existing APIs to feed algorithms and/or front-end UIs

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Geography, Remote Sensing, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in geospatial data engineering/software development
  • Strong background in database management solutions, familiarity with databases such as MySQL and Oracle
