Job Description

This is a key software engineering role at CAIRE Inc. that will be responsible for supporting the company's manufacturing operations by managing and supporting all lifecycle phases of various manufacturing software systems.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, documenting, validating, deploying, monitoring, and maintaining our in-house manufacturing software systems. They will also be responsible for complying with processes laid out by our Quality Management System to validate our usage of our software systems and producing compliant documentation.

Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for deploying and maintaining software development infrastructure, supporting investigative projects by leveraging our software systems and the data collected by them, and proposing and initiating changes to existing applications and new ones whenever such initiatives would be beneficial to our manufacturing processes and/or our various operational teams.

Technical Requirements

  • Programming using the latest versions of Java, Python, and TSQL.
  • Some exposure to C#, Lua, YAML, JSON, PHP, and C/C++ preferred.
  • Familiarity with a diverse set of programming paradigms, especially Functional and OOP.
  • Version control and issue tracking using Git and GitHub.
  • Linux shell usage and Linux system administration.
  • Exposure to hardware communication protocols such as I2C, Serial, etc.
  • Familiarity with Docker and related technologies preferred.
  • Designing unit, integration, and acceptance test criteria and executing them.
  • Requirements engineering involving diverse, multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Administration of relational databases, particularly SQL Server.
