Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Contents Restoration Technician to join our team at SERVPRO of Southern Cuyahoga. As a key member of our Contents Restoration Department, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional service to our customers by restoring their damaged contents to their pre-loss condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform various cleaning techniques on household items to restore them from fire, water, or mold damage.
  • Assist in conducting weekly and monthly inventory of restoration equipment, products, and supplies, and maintain a clean and organized workstation.
  • Prepare clean rooms and work areas for work activities, set up staging areas and equipment for inbound and outbound contents, and perform other restoration processes as directed.
  • Communicate with crew chiefs, other technicians, and managers to maintain efficient production processes and adhere to safety and risk management guidelines at all times.
  • Perform end-of-day and end-of-job cleanup and breakdown, and leave work areas with a clean and orderly appearance.
Secondary Responsibilities
  • Maintain an organized warehouse space, clean and maintain the warehouse, office, and grounds as assigned, and coordinate with crew chiefs and managers regarding content cleaning schedules in preparation for client move-backs.
  • Develop production expertise in services, cleaning products, and equipment, and ensure equipment and supplies are returned, cleaned, and put away.
  • Document detailed and accurate job files in Drybook to support the services provided and, if applicable, ContentsTrack.
  • Be prepared to aid fire restoration technicians on the job site, and perform other tasks and duties as required by the employer.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • IICRC certifications preferred but not required
  • Dedicated to world-class customer service
  • Strong work ethic
  • Effective oral communication
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to give attention to detail
  • Experience in cleaning, restoration, or moving industry preferred
Physical and Work Environment Requirements
  • Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds and lift up to 80 pounds with assistance
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment where applicable
  • Walking and standing for long periods of time, sitting, climbing stairs
  • Exposure to cleaning chemicals
  • Repetitive pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying objects
