Keys to Success as an Events Operations Manager
Educational Background: A bachelor's degree or diploma in hospitality and/or restaurant management, followed by a master's degree in management and administration. Professional training at specialized institutions is also beneficial. Proficiency in English is a must.
Type of Establishment: This role is typically found in upscale venues (five-star and luxury) featuring banquet halls, lounges, meeting spaces, auditoriums, or conference facilities.
Pathway to Success: Progression to this position is often achieved through roles in catering or sales departments, such as Restaurant Manager or Business Manager. Internships in these areas are advantageous to acquire the necessary skills for this vital role.
